Tom Moore

Friend

I would like to say that I am sorry I could not be with you all today. Four years ago, at his birthday party in the basement of the Bohemian Beer Garden, James introduced me to a woman he had worked with in Yemen. Some of you who are here today were there that night. Nuha and I were married a year later, then I followed her to Switzerland and then last March we had a child, a boy. I regret that my son will never know James, the man who brought his parents together. I have seen James playing with Alfred and know that kids adored him. James was a good man in a world in need of good men. I hope my son grows up to be as curious, intelligent, generous and brave as James was.
